本教程是 共分 7 部分的系列教程 中的最后一篇教程，本系列能帮助您备考 DB2? 9 for Linux?, UNIX?, and Windows? Database Administration（考试 731）。本教程主要谈论两个高级高可用性话题：分割镜像和高可用性灾难恢复（HADR）。通过分割镜像，可以使用磁盘备份恢复数据库。而 HADR 则提供了故障转移（failover）支持，这类似于 HACMP 和 Microsoft? Cluster Server 提供的故障转移功能。
但在考试大纲的第7部份的内容如下：
