职位描述和工作内容:
Job Purpose / Scope:
UNIX generalist responsible for providing system support that includes hardware, software, software applications, and networking to customers and field personnel on-site or via telephone support. Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through the effective delivery of technical support and service program. Additionally, He / she must be able to demonstrate “skilled" knowledge in minimum of two disciplines (Kernel/ OS, communication/ networking, high availability and database).
Major Activities / Responsibilities:
1. Provide post sales on-site and telephone system support to Sun's customers.
2. Deliver service deliverables.
3. Provide support to partners on service calls.
4. Installation, problem isolation and resolution, utilizing system software and diagnostics.
5. Act as an interface between customers and Sun. Using call management tool to update all involved parties of activities. Review and implement action plans.
6. Require to work on 7x24 shift duty.
7. Share the technical knowledge with other Sun Services personnel.
8. Be a mentor to new-hired SSE1.
9. Involve in project coordination and implementation.
10. Provide mission-critical support service to customers.
11. Account management:
- 11.1 Support customer loyalty programs
- 11.2 Customer coaching and training
Decision / Impact: Able to make difficult decisions which may impact customer operations. Able to solve very complex problems/ issues and establish communication to customers.
External / Internal Interface:
1. Work closely with customers on very difficult problems and complex issues.
2. Work closely with partner engineers and less experienced SSEs.
3. Play strategic role in improving customer satisfaction.
Qualification:
1. University graduate in EE/ CS or its related field.
2. At least 4 - 7 years experience in the computer industry or equivalent.
3. At least 2 years UNIX experience.
4. Experience in customer service environment will be an asset.
