Product enhancements in IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Version 5.5

IBM Tivoli(R) Storage Manager and its complementary products are designed to help provide a comprehensive solution focused on the key data protection activities of backup, archive, recovery, space management, and disaster planning. Tivoli Storage Manager enables high availability of business applications by providing superior data protection and unique technology to significantly improve performance and resource utilization. Additionally, optional application modules for mail, databases, application servers, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and hardware provide higher levels of application and hardware integration with the data protection process.

News: End of Support for IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 5.3

Abstract
Technical Support for IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Version 5.3 will end on April 30, 2008 for all platforms except z/OS, which will go out of support on April 6, 2008

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Version (TSM) 5.3 distributed servers and clients will go out of support on April 30, 2008 on all platforms.
IBM TSM 5.3 z/OS products will go out of support on April 6, 2008.
IBM TSM 5.3 z/OS USS client and API will go out of support on September 30, 2008.

New device support
All new devices are supported on AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Sun Solaris and Windows unless indicated otherwise. See the following sections for complete support specifications.
