Cause . . . . . : This partially damaged system object TAP05 has an error
class 0 and a device number X'0000'. Error class indicates how damage was
detected:
0000-previously marked damage;
0001-detected abnormal condition;
0002-logically invalid device sector;
0003-device error.
for error class 0003, the device number identifies the failing device, or
contains zero if main storage is damaged.
Message . . . . : *Attention* Interface error: Tape unit TAP05 (resource
TAP05) or IOP CMB01.
Cause . . . . . : Power interruption, electrical noise, improper connection
between hardware components, contact corrosion, electronic component or
terminating plug failure.
Recovery . . . : If the attached device is an external device, do the
following:
-- Ensure that the device has power.
-- Ensure that the external signal cable is properly connected and is not
damaged.
-- Ensure that a terminating plug is attached to the device end of the
external signal cable.
If no problems were found and corrected, press F14 and report the problem.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The IOP or the tape unit detected an
error when a command or data was being transferred to/from the IOP, or the
IOP addressed the tape unit and the tape unit did not respond. Tape unit
TAP05 (resource TAP05) is attached to IOP resource CMB01.
